My Hometown!

Well, my hometown is Tuao! It is now a first class municipality located at Cagayan Valley, Philippines. Ever wonder what's great in this place? Check out these photos!
How to get there?
If you are at the airport of Tuguegarao City, ask a tricy to take you to the Tuao Terminal. It is located in Buntun Hi-way.The terminal is just beside the SHELLANE Gasoline station. There are jeepneys there which are headed to Tuao West.It will take you an hour or less to get there.

How much is the fare?
It will cost you P50 if you are a student or P60 if you're an adult to get there.







Holy Guardian Angels Parish Church
This is located at Centro, Tuao West, Cagayan.
How to get there?
From the Tuao terminal, ask a "kalesa" or a tricy to take you to the church. The fare is P5.00 for "kalesa" and the tricy is P5 also, I think. But i prefer to ride on a "kalesa" because I enjoy riding from it when I see the beauty of the environment clearly. Don't worry, it'll just take you a few minutes to get to that place.











Old Spanish Belfry
This is just beside the Holy Gurdian Parish church.You cannot enter inside unless you ask the permission of the Parish Priest. Inside this belfry are cave-like structures which has Saint Statues or images. This place is pretty amazing if you just see it actually.

Kristorey Park




In front of the Holy Gurdian Parish church is where you can see the Kristo Rey Park. This park is very clean. There are benches where you can rest on when you need some fresh air.

CASSILY LAKE

The Cassily Lake is located at Naruangan,Tuao West, Cagayan. Come and enjoy the beauty of this very unique place. I'm sure you'd love to stay here!

How to get there?
If you are at the airport of Tuguegarao City, ask a tricy to take you to the Tuao Terminal. It is located in Buntun Hi-way.The terminal is just beside the SHELLANE Gasoline station. Ask the driver to drop you at Johnson Palca,Tuao East.When you get there, ask another tricy to take you to the Cassily Lake and ,voila! ,you are there!

How much is the fare?
If you ride a tricy from the airport to the terminal, it would cost you from P25-P50.It depends on how much you agree with the tricycle driver's condition. But if you want to be wise, just ask the driver to take you to the market where the Ugac Sur terminal is located.The fare is just P9.00. From there ask the driver to take you to the terminal which means another P9.00.From Tuguegarao City to Tuao,the jeepney fare is P30 if you are a student, and P40 if you are an adult. From Johnson Palca to the Cassily Lake, it will cost you P10 to get there.

IT EDUCATIONAL TOUR

On February 16, 2010 at around 7pm the IT students and 6 faculty members departed for Manila. We arrived in Manila at around 7am and took our wash-up at Miramar Hotel before we ate our breakfast at Chow King. After eating we preceded to the National Computer Center. There, they showed us the evolution of computers. After an hour of touring us inside the company, we went straight to PAG-ASA. There they showed us how they monitor the weather condition in our country which served as a basis on weather forecasting. At about 12 noon we took our lunch at Kenny Rogers Roasters -Quezon Avenue. After lunch, we went to Makati City Hall-Data Center to see their server which monitors every person and activity in Makati. After that, we went to the 3rd floor of the building to meet the honorable Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay. His warm welcome made us feel comfortable to talk to him. He’s a great man. At around 4pm, we went to SM North Edsa and stroll inside the mall until 8pm. We took our dinner at Kamay Kainan then we went back to Miramar Hotel to rest.

The next day, February 16, after breakfast we immediately get into the bus and reached Bayantel at 9 am. There they showed us their server which has a storage capacity of 6 terabytes. After that they showed us the description of their system. At 12 noon, we took our lunch at KFC-E. Rodriguez. After that we went to ABS-CBN where they conducted a studio tour for us. At 4pm, we went malling at the Mall of Asia, the biggest mall in the Philippines. Then we went back to the hotel to rest. There we took our dinner and went back to the hotel at 9pm.

The next day, February 18, we went to U.P. Diliman and there we attended the seminar about robotics. The seminar was supposed to be two days but we only attended the second day because on February 17, we had other activities. We also took our lunch there which came from KFC. After the seminar, we went to Green Hills and strolled there until 9pm.There we took our dinner and went back to the hotel after.

The next day, February 19, was our last day tour. We ate our breakfast at Chow King, as usual. After breakfast, we went to Ateneo. We reached the school at 10am. There they conducted a campus tour for us. They also showed us their innovations.
After the campus tour, we headed to Laguna. It took us almost 2 hours before we reached Laguna. We took our lunch at Walter Mart Mall which is located in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. After lunch we leisurely walk around the mall. At 4pm, we went to Enchanted Kingdom to enjoy the last hours before we go back to Cagayan. We arrived at 7:30 am in Tuguegarao City.
